Guys, what in the holy hell does #slimeseason mean? And does it relate in any way to Cordarrelle Patterson’s girlfriend Taylor Quick?
OK, let’s back up a little bit here.
So Cordarrelle Patterson loves his girlfriend Taylor Quick. We’re starting to see it with a little bit more frequency in general, but it’s still not entirely frequent. His Instagram is almost a love letter to Taylor. In 2019, that equates to a stack of handwritten notes. But, here’s the issue. Every single post is hashtagged with #slimeseason. Here are some examples
And, there are PLENTY more examples of #slimeseason. OK, so being the highly respected and always accurate site that we are, we’ve put on our researching hats. Let’s start with Urban Dictionary, who defines “Slime Season,” as

Oh man, I’m deep into it now. And yes, I fully acknowledge I’m stalking.
#Slimeseason first appeared on Instagram April 30, 2016, and has not been skipped ever since. Starting with his first Instagram post from January, 2014 through the aforementioned April post did not include #slimeseason.
So, I decided to take a sojourn over on Twitter and research that. AND NOW I’M EVEN MORE CONFUSED. In October of 2016, there seemed to be a chorus of people using slime season to tweet at him. This was his last season in Minnesota and plenty of that chatter came from Vikings fans. But later tweets also had Raiders fans chiming in using the same mysterious tag. It should be noted, that everything is positive about Slime Season.
Now, if you follow us on Twitter, you may notice a common trend. Our obsession has taken over. We’ve reached out to multiple people who also used this hashtag to get to the bottom of it. I can’t not know. And you shouldn’t have to either. We’re here for you all. It’s a public service really.
Aren’t you guys here to tell us about Cordarrelle Patterson’s girlfriend, and not compulsively chase down the meaning of a flippant hashtag?

So, Cordarrelle Patterson’s girlfriend Taylor Quick. The couple have two kids together, with the oldest being born in 2013. Their youngest was born in 2018, which Cordarrelle was happy to brag about how amazing Taylor looked shortly after birth.
Cordarrelle Patterson’s girlfriend has experienced the pain that so many women experience, that of losing a baby. It touched their family to the point that Cordarrelle took the opportunity to highlight the cause during the 2017 My Cleats My Cause campaign.

Taylor spends her time on Twitter rooting on Cordarrelle’s professional interests. She definitely has an even keeled approach to life, and her observations are impressively fair and non-preachy. I really respect and appreciate her social media with one exception. She doesn’t use #slimeseason. I’m absolutely no closer to figuring this out than when I was an hour ago when I started this.
