Blair Walsh’s girlfriend Sarah Chafee is a a TV news reporter in Alabama. The Twitter defense that she mounted for her husband’s field goal miss comes across as a bit empty. As a TV reporter, she would likely be precisely the person who would be nailing the local team kicker on TV for missing such a field goal. Sarah Chafee took to Twitter late Sunday night to defend her husband after he missed a 27 yard chip shot field goal to win the Vikings playoff game.

All that said, I would consider myself in the camp of a Blair Walsh apologist as well. What’s pretty amazing is how few people are here with me and his wife. Even Walsh’s own coach didn’t have his back, saying that he should have hit it. Considering that Walsh was literally the only Viking to score even a single point in the game, it’s hard to totally fault him. Maybe Vikings fans should consider faulting resident child-beater Adrian Peterson, whose fumble setup the go-ahead field goal by the other team in the first place.

First, he was kicking into some pretty bad winds during the third coldest NFL game in history. Second, and not enough is being made of this, the holder didn’t rotate the football – so Walsh was forced to kick with the laces in. While that definitely generates memories of Ace Ventura – it’s certainly a big deal, even on a short field goal. Just ask Dan Marino. One can only imagine how many Ace Ventura references there were on Twitter after it came out that the laces weren’t lined up properly.

Blair Walsh’s girlfriend is originally from California, where she attended Sonoma State University, but now resides in Alabama. She was brought to Alabama to join the WTVY News Team in September 2015. Sarah describes herself as having a “curious personality” and is borderline obsessed with her dog, Rooney.

Landry Jones’ wife Whitney Jones was at one time a very talented basketball player at the University of Oklahoma. She was named the Big 12 Conference Freshman of the Year back in the day. She was a starter on a Final Four team. She was serious business, people! She suffered a torn ACL at the start of her last year, and she was still picked up to play in the WNBA. That didn’t really work out so well for her, but that wasn’t something that was going to stop her from enjoying her life and moving right along.

So far, Landry Jones’ wife has done a good deal of television basketball commentary for college women’s hoops, but she’s transitioning into becoming a high school coach for girl’s basketball now. The school of choice for her is Seton-LaSalle. Based on recent past performance, this appears to be the evil empire of high school basketball programs. They’ve won four AA titles in the past five years, and two PIAA championships. While I’m not entirely sure how prestigious those titles are, they sure do sound impressive to me. All of this, and the woman is only 25 years old. That’s really cool to me. She’s been alive for a quarter of a century, and she’s got all this cool stuff under her belt.

In case you were wondering, it was the San Antonio Silver Stars who drafted Whitney. Like I said before, she wasn’t a huge commodity in the WNBA. Hey, pro sports is tough, especially if you’ve torn your ACL. Right before she took the coaching gig last year, she talked with Landry about potentially coaching. She said, “Landry and I talked, and if the right coaching opportunity came along I was going to take it.” Yeah, so she ain’t gonna’ just sit at home watching pro football and waiting for you, pal. Football isn’t her sport of choice!

Brandon McManus’ girlfriend Nadia Spencer can only be called his girlfriend for a few more months. They’re set to be married on March 5th of this year, after which she will become Brandon McManus’ wife. They’ve already got a nice golden retriever named CJ to start out their family unit. Nadia spent a good deal of time making jokes and coming up with entertaining tweets about the Broncos and a host of other topics. She loves animals so she frequently references PETA stuff. She threw a picture of her dog’s veterinarian mugshot on Twitter and said, “I die at my little bubba’s vet photo.” I know this is trivial stuff, but it shows her sense of humor. It’s pleasant and snappy.

Now then, let’s talk about how Brandon McManus’ girlfriend was proposed to. Brandon got some friends to join him and Nadia on a double date to Denver Botanic Gardens in July of 2015. They acted as photographers when he suddenly dropped to one knee and popped the question. Unlike many proposals, Nadia was taken completely by surprise. I’ve got to admit that’s pretty romantic. I’ve seen the photos from the Botanic Gardens. The couple is very happy and in love, from what I can see. The guy’s a successful NFL kicker. It’s the single greatest job in sports if you can do it right. I’m really starting to believe that. Can someone please prove me wrong?

Anwyay, Nadia is very serious about animal rights, and I love that about her. I, too, care deeply for animals, so it’s cool to see someone purveying simple, straightforward messages about them. Brandon McManus’ girlfriend recently participated in A GDS Foundation fashion show for charity. Player wives and girlfriends are good like that. Another thing Nadia has pointed out about their relationship is how Brandon brings her food. She says this is the key to her heart. One such example was when he picked her up from the airport with a burger and fries for her from Wendy’s. I mean, come on. That’s strong relationship play right there.

Lawrence Phillips’ ex-girlfriend Kate McEwen was an athlete at Nebraska. She was initially given an athletic scholarship for basketball, but it was later taken away because she did not play up to the school’s standards. She played a very small part in Lawrence’s life during his tenure at Nebraska. According to accounts, Kate was sleeping with Nebraska’s backup quarterback. Lawrence was told about this by a teammate, and he immediately ran to the quarterback’s apartment, climbed the building to the third floor, and entered through some sliding doors. He then dragged the girl out of the apartment by the hair and smashed her head into a mailbox. This all happened in the 1990’s. It made national headlines and started his spiral into ruin.

Mr. Phillips was found dead in his prison cell today, January 16, 2016. He was in prison for several different charges. A few of the charges were for assaulting another girlfriend. Lawrence Phillips’ ex-girlfriend Amaliya Weisler said he’d beaten her up and choked her, causing her to lose consciousness. Lawrence was also accused of running over several young men with his car. He was most recently suspected of murdering his cellmate in prison and had been separated from the rest of the inmates.

Lawrence Phillips’ ex-girlfriends’ abuses and other crimes make him sound like a monster, but they also seem like the result of a social system that discarded him. He grew up in various foster care and group home environments. He never had a father, and he was separated from his mother at age 11 after being abused. A friend from the group home he grew up in gave an account of Lawrence teaching him how to read. He never belittled his friend’s illiteracy. Though prone to fits of extreme violence and anger, Lawrence’s friends also talked about him being a caring and sweet individual. I read all of the letters he wrote to his former high school football coach and vice-principal, and they are very sad indeed. They essentially showed a man trying to stay away from trouble but being surrounded by it all the time.

Ben McAdoo’s wife Toni McAdoo knows, probably better than any coach’s wife, what Tom Coughlin’s wife is going through right now. Judy Coughlin is currently losing sleep over a potential cross country move from New York to San Francisco. Toni and her wide ranging travels over the years puts that to shame.

Toni has been through the pain of having her husband take a coaching job at Fairfield, seven hours away from the couple’s home in Western Pennsylvania. Ben McAdoo took the offensive line coaching position at Fairfield only a before the football program was dismantled entirely. Soon afterwards, Mike McCarthy offered McAdoo a position with him in New Orleans – another big move. Not too long after, McAdoo followed McCarthy to San Francisco – yet another big move. Finally, when McCarthy was hired as the Packers head coach in 2006, McAdoo was one of his first calls. McAdoo then moved to New York to work under Tom Coughlin.

For those keeping track, Ben and Toni moved from Pennsylvania to Connecticut to New Orleans to San Francisco to Green Bay and finally to New York. Thankfully for Ben McAdoo’s wife, it looks like the move won’t be very far this time. After having the inside track on the head coaching position left vacant after Tom Coughlin stepped down, Ben has been named the 17th coach of the New York Giants.

Aside from a brief mention in an article about that mentions the seven hour Fairfield move, Toni McAdoo was basically apparition until Ben mentioned her by name today during his press conference (Mike McCarthy subsequently did the same). We now know that the couple has two children (Larkin and BJ).

Known for his long hours and extreme work ethic, Ben McAdoo appears to deserve the promotion – even if it does come at the expense of his former head coach. I’m sure Ben’s wife appreciates that this position change doesn’t come with a move.

Antonio Cromartie’s wife Terricka Cromartie is pregnant with twins. Alright, I assume you’ve heard all the jokes by now. It’s big news because Antonio already has ten kids and got snipped awhile back. You heard right. He had a vasectomy and still managed to get Terricka pregnant. Well, I’m going to have think out loud here for a second. Is it possible that the kids aren’t, you know, his kids?

Only joking, Antonio, onnnnnly joking! No, that’s great, though. There’s zero possible chance that the kids aren’t his, I know. The chances that these twins aren’t his are lower than the chances of impregnating a woman after you’ve had a vasectomy. How could I even think of bringing that possibility up? It’s not a possibility. Don’t go calling the thought police on me, dear readers!

Antonio Cromartie’s wife is a lovely, charming, and caring woman. She’s had three kids with Antonio thus far, and their names are Jordy, Jurzie, and Jagger. She calls them “J3.” One of the funniest things I’ve seen from a player wife was her Instagram post of a screenshot that TMZ put up. The headline was “Antonio Cromartie’s Wife: Jets Playoff Fail Hurts Me The Most”. It showed a video of her talking about the Jets losing. Her Instagram response to this post by TMZ was: “TMZ let me live. Lord don’t let my husband cancel my credit cards or my prime account thank you. Maybe Amazon can give me an endorsement for the plug.” Now, you gotta’ appreciate the sense of humor there.

Terricka is a cool lady, and she’s got a nice sense of style too. I saw some pictures she posted of her hanging out with two of her girlfriends, and they all looked like class acts. You see, when you go making jokes about a woman’s twins not being her husbands, you’ve got to be real nice afterwards. But we all know a lady with a good sense of humor like Antonio Cromartie’s wife Terricka loves a good joke.

Graham Gano’s wife Brittany Gano was his supportive rock last season when the Panthers lost to Atlanta. If you don’t remember what happened: Graham missed two field goals late in the game. He then took a brief respite from social media to avoid an avalanche of angry fan tweets. Brittany allegedly sent him a nice text immediately following the loss. This is when having a caring wife really helps. If not when a group of angry fans are out for your head, then when else?

Brittany met Graham in college, and they’ve been together ever since. They have also have two kids. Graham Gano’s wife is a firm believer in writing down your personal goals, and she makes Graham write them down often. A few weeks ago, Graham and Brittany took a trip to a firing range. They’re an American couple living in Charlotte. I don’t think it’s a stretch to say Brittany has some of the most naturally stunning hair I’ve seen on a player’s wife in awhile. Her hair just looks beautiful, and I don’t think she wears extensions. I don’t know. Ladies, you be the judges. I could be extremely naive with detecting extensions. I certainly wouldn’t consider myself an expert in the field – you know, since I’ve never worn extensions.

The couple have also 1has a dog. Over the summer, Graham posted a picture of Brittany pouring water on her leg to clean it off. The dog had urinated on her! I wasn’t able to figure out what breed it is, but that’s a pretty willful thing for a dog to do. Urinating on your owner shows a deep lack of respect and general disregard for authority. It’s possible that Graham Gano’s wife needs to write down some dog discipline goals. If you write down your goals, it makes life a lot easier, Brittany!

Chandler Catanzaro’s girlfriend Anna Cate Miller is a blonde Ole Miss cheerleader. I immediately start wondering if she’s a natural blonde. If she isn’t, then she bleaches the hell out of her hair. My guess is she’s a dirty blonde, but who cares besides blonde fetishists like me? Anna is a pretty lady. She enjoys hiking and running. She’s recently been to Washington to do some outdoor activities, and she travels a good amount for someone who’s entrenched in college and athletics. Most of that is due to being a cheerleader. They’ve got to travel with the team.

Anna was finishing high school less than two years ago. She was modeling towards the tail end of that time. I saw pictures of her with a date from the senior prom, and it appeared that she’d planned on going with some other gents before she settled on the fella’ she went with. She generally has the exact same smile and pose in every single photograph. The effect of looking at many of her photos at once is something akin to looking at mannequins set up in various store backgrounds and displays. Chandler Catanzaro’s girlfriend is a sweet girl with an extroverted personality. She loves to be around sunny people, and she feeds off the energy of her fellow cheerleaders. Anna’s taken several pictures with Tim Tebow in the past year. I think she’s got a bit of a thing for him even though there’s nothing happening there.

Based on what I’ve seen, Anna Cate Miller’s been known to take around a male cheerer and use him as a faux boyfriend to shield her from would-be suitors. I could be totally wrong, but it looks like a pattern in several photographs. It’s a smart play for any lovely lady who likes to go out and party. Getting hit on can get boring when you’ve already got a cool placekicker boyfriend. I believe her relationship with the “Cat Man” started sometime in the summer of 2015, as she’s been spotted with other dudes prior to that. Who knows what the status of those relationships were, though. I recognized one of the guys from her high school days, so I’m guessing she was just hanging out with an old pal. Nowadays, Chandler Catanzaro’s girlfriend has got her life firmly together and cheery as can be.

Eric Berry’s girlfriend Justine Brown may not actually be his girlfriend.  While we’re in the business of covering the wives and girlfriends of professional athletes, the waters can sometimes be murky.

Take Eric Berry for instance.  Justine Brown is the woman we most strongly assume to be Eric Berry’s girlfriend.  While some of the more salacious internet forum boards out there have identified Brown as Berry’s girl, we certainly don’t have an official second source to support that. The two have publicly put up pictures together on their Instagram pages, and of course both follow one another on IG and Twitter.  Since Berry has been through hell and back, Justine is quick to point out how proud she is of the Chiefs safety.  The posts and writings certainly strike a tone of success in a combined team battle against this bitch called cancer.  We’ve included one of the more passionate Instagram posts at the bottom of this post

So we told you in the lede that things weren’t entirely clear here, and we’ll continue that theme.  The woman we most confidently believe to be Eric Berry’s girlfriend identifies herself as,  illinois born//wisconsin raised// tennessee seasoned//california living// creative director/digital brand manager/writer.  Those titles in the middle raise an eyebrow that it’s entirely possible that Justine Brown is simply a digital brand manager.  On Instagram, Brown has pictures with Jerry Jones, Arian Foster and Randall Cobb.  While pictures and posts with Berry may support some of the theories floating online, it’e entirely possible they are nothing more than friends taking a picture together.  

Justine Brown is on a whirlwind tour with the Chiefs, having been in Houston for the Wild Card Playoff game against the Texans, and is already in town for the Patriots-Chiefs divisional playoff matchup.  Friends, dating, professional,… ultimately doesn’t matter.  These two share a bond that helped Berry move beyond a challenging period of his life.  Titles need not apply.

Bare with me. I have a few words to get off my chest. Fresh off of a birthday, I want to give a special shoutout to @stunt4president, who over the course of the past year has walked an unbelievably faith driven, quiet, humble, and quite frankly (to his total contentment) under appreciated journey. While often times difficult and enduring, it has been an incredible blessing to witness such grace. With zero complaints and not an ounce of feeling sorry, this man took on a battle of life, fought HARD, won, and managed to still selflessly lookout for family, friends, strangers and ALL others over himself. THESE are the accomplishments that pale in comparison to anything else. So be it a Comeback Player of the Year Award or Man of the Year, all would be nice bonuses, and choose as they may, but a worldly award could never define it. From a witness, this guy deserves one of the MVP of Life awards this year. I pray THAT is the part that doesn’t get overlooked. Justin Houston’s girlfriend Jo Garner is the mother of his young son, and is incredibly invested in their relationship.  As the father of two young sons myself, it’s cool to see a mother so incredibly proud of the father-son relationship being developed.

For example, Justin Houston’s girlfriend Jo Garner often posts bible verses on Instagram with pictures of the duo:

Father-Son… “For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing what is right and just, so that the LORD will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him.”

There’s a Christian theme all throughout Jo Garner’s Instagram.  While not particularly religious ourselves, if it’s used as a vehicle to build strong family values, we certainly respect it.  It doesn’t end with religion.  Jo uses motivational quotes to support her pro-bowler boyfriend.

“Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”

There’s really not much information out there about Justin Houston’s girlfriend Jo Garner.  We know she loves her boyfriend, son, and her religion and thats good enough for us.  It looks like Houston and Garner may have recently become engaged.  We’re basing this on a recent explanation of marriage from Garner.  Once that wedding takes place, we doubt it’ll be a highly publicized event for the routinely quiet couple.

Justin Houston and the Chiefs advance to the Divisional round of the playoffs against the Patriots in Foxborough.  Houston has been battling a knee injury most of the season.  The usually dominant Chiefs linebacker has been held without a sack since November.  Looking to take advantage of a patchwork offensive line, Houston, and all of Kansas City hopes that streak ends soon.

Michael Floyd’s girlfriend Maddy Thomas is a beautiful young blonde lady who’s been with Mr. Floyd ever since college. However, I’m convinced that she attended Michigan State University and not Notre Dame. Floyd was a graduate of Notre Dame. Maddy has been photographed with a bunch of her sorority friends, and they were all wearing MSU Spartans gear. It looks like she even spent a semester abroad during her college days. She spending time in an apartment in Paris back in 2012. This was likely before she’d met Floyd. She added London to her European extravaganza in April of 2012 and was back in the States by September of that year.

During college, Michael Floyd’s girlfriend kept a kind of short visual diary using Vine. Though I myself never used Vine, I prefer it as a separate entity from Twitter. When you check out Maddy’s old visual diary, it’s pretty compelling since it’s all just videos of her and her college buddies. She now prefers Instagram to show off her goofy exploits with Floyd. It’s a different world now that he’s a professional. She’s set up shop in Arizona with him. Back in the day, she was documenting how “type-A” Michael was when his massage therapist was late and he was freaking out. These kinds of videos do indeed offer a glimpse into a one’s personality. Maddy is not like Michael in this way. The couple complement each other.

The most high-profile appearance by Michael Floyd’s girlfriend was made with him and Kyle Rudolph at a charity event. It was for the Starkey Hearing Foundation and was held for people with hearing troubles, as you might have guessed. Maddy looks mighty pretty in a red carpet dress. She’s both full-figured and athletic at the same time. What a catch! I also watched a short and very random video of Maddy on YouTube in which she gave a brief testimonial about how good some realtor is. She also has a funny habit of mispronouncing the world “realtor” as “realitor.” So now you know that.

There’s a couple things I should point out to you guys that you probably don’t know. First off, Todd Bowles’ wife Taneka Bowles is the mother of Sydni Paige Russell. Sydni is Tyrann Mathieu’s girlfriend.  I remember reading about how cool of a guy Todd was when I was learning about Sydni. So let’s learn a bit about him and Taneka now, shall we? We catalog every relationship in the NFL. That’s just our thing…

Todd took the brunt of raising Sydni with Taneka in her teenage years, from what I can tell. My math may be wrong, but she was in the middle of her teenage years when he signed on to be her stepdad. He lives with Taneka in Elizabeth, New Jersey. I’ve always liked this area of New Jersey. This is sort of the “nice” territory in the show The Sopranos where Tony and Carmela lived. Anyway, Todd Bowles’ wife came up with this cool charity event last year. Get 4000 elementary schoolers in a room, give them each a backpack with fitness-tracking gear, and have them compete each other to exercise 60 minutes per day. The winners get to go to a Jets game. Hey, I’m in! Sounds like an awesome idea to me. Get some exercise, kids!

The couple met in 2007 and dated for five years before marrying. 2012 was the big year for them. Taneka had their first son in 2011. His name is Tyson. Todd was previously married to a lady named Jill Jenkins, but there’s no sense in concentrating on her since she’s ancient history. Todd Bowles’ wife Taneka is his main squeeze, and they’ve been together for eight years. Between the two of them and various relationships, they’ve had four kids. The couple has moved around quite a bit, and this meant relocating the little darling Sydni quite a few times as well. New York is now the fourth place they’ve lived since they’ve been together.

Morgan Hardman has a personal web address that leads to some kind creepy phone/email solicitation site. It’s based around something called “ringless voicemail marketing,” which is as vile as it sounds and was designed by Satan to plague modern existence. Now, I don’t know if poor Morgan is even aware that her personal URL leads to a site that can “drop messages ringlessly into 1000’s of voicemail boxes,” but it’s kind of funny that it does. The former reality star, Morgan actually works at a cosmetic surgery and med spa in Los Angeles. One of her personal philosophies is, “Planning is the only way to keep yourself on track. And when you know where you are going, the universe will clear a path for you.” That sounds okay, though I tend not to listen to rehashed quotes from self-help books by Iyanla Vanzant when they’re coming from people like me (people who haven’t achieved anything noteworthy). I appreciate Morgan’s outlook as she’s chosen to present it- adequately sanitized.

I’m digging into the woman who is definitely NOT Ronnie Hillman’s girlfriend online persona a little too much. Let’s stick to the peripherals. About a week ago, some young kids in her neighborhood stole the brake lights off her car, and that wasn’t the first time! Ain’t that a bummer? I’ve had similar problems with kids shooting paintballs at my car and tossing condoms filled with liquids at me here in New York. It’s a sign of their love. Morgan’s a fan of astrology and daily horoscopes. This is a big theme for ladies in the pro sports girlfriend world. Peyton Manning’s wife Ashley Manning is a fascinating exploration into how stories can manifest on the internet. Take this latest scandal with Peyton Manning’s wife. She is being  presented, by a story at Al Jazeera, as the recipient of multiple shipments of HGH. The Internet has taken hold of this story, to say the least. People are jumping to the conclusion the just because Ashley received HGH – that must mean Peyton was using it. In all reality, there are plenty of perfectly reasonable explanations as to why Ashley herself might have needed HGH – and there aren’t any NFL rules preventing her from taking it.

Two years ago, it was doom and gloom for the the Manning family, with rumors swirling about an out of marriage relationship coming between them, and that Peyton Manning’s divorce was imminent. Fast forward two years later, the repeat Super Bowl runner up QB appears as happy as ever in wedded bliss. Peyton Manning’s wife Ashley Manning is one of the first wives we ever covered on PlayerWives.com back in 2009. In the six-plus years since launching the post, we’ve seen rumors galore. An unfounded rumor about Peyton being in an extramarital relationship with local Indianapolis meteorologist Angela Buchman ran rampant for a good chunk of his time with the Colts.

Conversely, back in 2011, we learned through the Internet about the Manning’s children. The Marion County Health Department confirmed that Peyton Manning’s wife Ashley Manning gave birth to a beautiful set of twins. According to birth certificates on file, Peyton Manning’s twins, Marshall Williams Manning and Mosley Thompson Manning, were born on March 31, 2011.

Peyton Manning was introduced to his wife by Ashley’s next door neighbor during their Freshman year of college. They were married on St. Patrick’s day, 2001.

Now, we’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again now. It is not the agenda of Playerwives to start rumors. We have, however, come across some widely passed rumors in our years, and thought worth passing along this gem (which is more than more than likely to be false).

There have been a lot of theories and rumors to support the idea that there are many “open marriages” amongst the ranks of professional athletes. And as has been the case so often, we have found rumors that suggest that Peyton Manning is cheating on his wife Ashley Manning. These same rumors suggest he is dating local Indianapolis meteorologist Angela Buchman. The theory goes on to say that the Mannings heard about this rumor online. Then, in an effort to throw people off the scent, invited Ms. Buchman to multiple Manning charity events and public appearances. The rumor continues that Buchman is on the Manning payroll to keep quiet.

Malik Jackson’s girlfriend Jade Bennett is a pretty young lady and former cast member of a show called Bad Girls Club. It’s one of those shows where a bunch of chicks hang out in a house and scream at each other and then run out of the room. She was cast for season six and left after the first episode following some conflicts. I watched clips of the episode. I’ll tell you about it, but keep in mind that 1) she was 21 years of age when she was on the show and 2) the producers tell the cast members to act as wildly and irrationally as possible. It’s not real at all, though it carries the “reality tv” moniker.

Jade threw up on the floor of the gigantic house the ladies all stay in after the first night celebrations. She didn’t clean it up. One of the other housemates, a goggle-wearing girl named Nikki, got in her face about it. Nikki sort of nudged Jade with her chin, and Jade pushed her. Then a few other girls got in the middle of it, reminding them they lived together. Jade left the show shortly after. She figured it wasn’t worth living in a house with people if, after the first night, she’d already been in a mild physical confrontation. So now she’s Malik Jackson’s girlfriend.

Malik Jackson’s girlfriend Jade is far more openly narcissistic than most player wives. That’s neither good nor bad, but I’m just telling you: she loves the camera. She frequently talks about how infatuated with herself and her image she is. Some of the video vines she’s posted on Twitter with her and Malik are pretty odd. She has an excited, deer-in-headlights air when she takes these. She also has a habit of overdoing the sultry, flirtatious pose in her videos, and it belies a kind of confusion. It’s almost like she couldn’t find an agent so decided she’d create her own audition clips for music videos or low-budget skin flicks. It’s unintentionally hilarious and kind of brilliant, actually. Here’s a great example. I do think she’s got a sense of humor about her love of vines and selfies. How could you not?

Jonathan Stewart’s girlfriend is the one that’s eluded us since before we began this lil’ ol site six years ago.  I mean, dude has been a stud in the NFL since 2008. Yet in his eight years playing in the shield there’s never been a whisper about his dating life.

Don’t get us wrong.  There are definitely sites out there who have paying subscribers talk about who Jonathan Stewart’s girlfriend truly is.  A whole bunch of sizzle, though a total lack of steak.  Plenty of ladies talk about meeting JStew in the clubs, but no one seems to be able to take the throne as the lady riding shotgun in Stewart’s life.

As the Panthers head to the NFC title game, the spotlight has been cranked up and intensity focused on the question at hand.  WHO IS JONATHAN STEWART’S GIRLFRIEND?

Truthfully, we got nothin.

Here’s what we know.  Jonathan Stewart is a helluva back staying loyal to the team that drafted him.  He’s seemed to have had a resurgence in his career in what most running backs see as the back nine of their career.  Strolling through his social media, there is definitely one woman who has come up, though he’s definitely not dating this one.  Jonathan Stewart loves his mom.

Look I get it.  Moms are the best.  And frankly, it would be nice to see more professional athlete’s throw their mom up on Twitter or Instagram, rather than pictures of clubs, cars and shoes.  But Jonathan Stewart’s mom shows up on more than one occasion, and it’s never a flippant “hey mom.”  Stewart was brought up right and goes out of his way to honor and respect his mother whenever he puts her out there publicly.

Good kid, good running back.  Who gives a damn who his girlfriend is.

Tom Brady’s wife Gisele Bundchen was one of our first posts when this little ol’ site that could, PlayerWives.com launched in 2009 (years before the impostors, mind you).

The founders of this site look back and laugh at the post comprised of 25 words, and whole bunch of pictures of Tom Brady’s wife in her underwear. While our abysmal lack of content and anything resembling any possibly merit have shoved us down to page 643 of Google search results, there is a grain of inspiration leftover. It’s been more than eight years since Tommy first took Gisele out, and coming up on six years since they tied the knot. In that time, we’ve come to realize: Tom Brady’s wife Gisele Bundchen has been the birth of the WAG.

The term WAG meaning Wives And Girlfriends has been around for years. Joe DiMaggio dated Marilyn Monroe. Jose Canseco dated Madonna. Wayne Gretzky with Janet Jones. Derek Jeter with everyone. Tom Brady isn’t the first and that couldn’t be further from our thesis. But Brady and Bundchen reset our relationships with the WAG. Rather than a fleeting paparazzi or gossip story about an athlete and actress doing their best to populate the earth with beautiful people, the public has invested themselves in this successful public eye relationship. People care.

The timing mirrors the rise of social media.  Facebook and MySpace excluded from this discussion, you can narrow your focus even tighter to Twitter.  Twitter lauched in early 2006, which was right around the same time that Brady and Bundchen began dating.  The news and fascination with the couple gained steam over the following years as major media outlets began tweeting.  At that same time, the public discourse moved to this new platform, where internet savvy bloggers noted trends on what people were talking about.  As TB12 and Gisele’s daily activity seemed to enter the zeitgeist, the coverage of them and their relationship commensurately gained steam.

After almost a decade together, the couple has figured out how to make it all work.  Stay out of trouble, look super pretty together (and yes, this author is a guy, and hell yes Tommy is pretty), and make perfect children.  Together, the couple has a son Benjamin and daughter Vivian Brady.  Tom Brady of course, infamously has a son Jonathan Edward Thomas Brady with Bridget Moynahan.  And for those not paying attention, during an acrimonious breakup, Moynahan gave Tom Brady’s son JET as initials.  Cruel.

Public fascination of Tom Brady’s wife Gisele Bundchen hasn’t waned in the years, going so far as to learn what the family eats at home.   The well established, consistent family has it all figured out and makes their way through the insane Boston fans.   While Gisele wasn’t first, she may be the most important WAG to move the idea of wondering about a player’s wife or girlfriend to the forefront.  For that, we here at PlayerWives.com thank you.

Owen Daniels’ wife Angela (Mecca) Daniels isn’t a morning person. Actually, neither is Owen, for that matter. The couple’s son Henry, on the other hand, is a morning person. Owen says Henry is at his most smiley first thing in the morning. The time of day for this surprised the couple, due to their sleep preferences. Honestly though, being a father myself, that shouldn’t surprise anyone. I’m convinced that children just pick the complete opposite of whatever their parents want. Maybe I’m just jaded, but that’s my experience.

Owen Daniels’ wife’s maiden name was Angela Mecca. When they first met, Angela worked at the Harris County District Attorney’s office as an attorney. The couple met at the Blondes vs. Brunettes charity football game. The couple had their first date in Ibiza. This was also were Owen Daniels proposed to his future wife. He rented a private room and filled it with white roses. While Sinatra music played in the background, he popped the question. That’s a pretty smooth way to propose. Big surprise, she said yes.

The couple was married in 2013 at a place called The Corinthian. During the wedding, the couple had a tequila tasting – which is amazing. Why can’t I go to a wedding with a tequila tasting? Owen and Angela were inspired by a trip to Cabo San Lucas.

Owen Daniels and wife Angela Mecca had their first child in 2015. As previously mentioned, their son’s name is Henry. Owen is very involved in Henry’s life. Thanks to Owen’s position as a tight end with the Broncos, they get a lot of cool presents for Henry. For instance, they have a custom Broncos jersey with the #8 and the name “Hank” on the back of it.

Owen was warned by teammates that fatherhood would change his life. Owen seems pretty happy with the changes, while it sounds like some of his teammates might not have been.

Jerry Richardson’s wife Rosalind Sallenger Richardson attended Winthrop University in the late 1950s. Though she probably seemed like just another student at the time, Winthrop really couldn’t have accepted someone better for their future. You see, Rosalind Sallenger ended up marrying Jerry Richardson.

Jerry got his start in Spartanburg, S.C. with the Hardee’s chain and Spartan Foods. Richardson owned Flagstar Corporation, which owned both brands. He retired in 1995 and bought the Carolina Panthers franchise. In those 20 years, the NFL has grown at an enormous rate – along with the Richardson’s fortune.

So back Winthrop University. Jerry Richardson and wife Rosalind Sallenger Richardson established a $500,000 fully endowed scholarship to Winthrop. The scholarship was meant to honor his wife and her commitment to the arts.

The Richardsons are both lifelong residents of North Carolina. They have three children. Aside from son Jon (who died in 2013), they also have a son Mark and a daughter Ashley. They also have nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Their son Jon Richardson was the Former Panthers stadium president. In 2013, he died after a lengthy battle with cancer at the age of 53.

With the Carolina Panthers about to make the Super Bowl, we figured it was high time to cover Jerry Richardson and his wife Rosalind Sallenger Richardson. The Panthers are set to play the Denver Broncos, after the New England Patriots played a stinker of a game. While the Bronco’s defense has had a hell of a season, the same can be said about the Panthers defense. And when you compare and contrast the play of Cam Newton versus Peyton Manning – there’s an obvious advantage for the Panthers. In a battle of two great defenses, the team with the better offense, and specifically quarterback, tends to win. We can’t help but think the Panthers will crush them. We’ll see – but that’s where I would put my money.

Wade Phillips’ wife Laurie Phillips is the absolute epitome of a high school sweetheart. Let me break this down for you so you understand the archetype: star high school quarterback, beautiful head cheerleader, coy girl pursued by an overconfident and dashing boy. Folks, this is Sofia Coppola ‘Virgin Suicides’ type stuff. In fact, Laurie avoided dating Wade for years. She knew he was into her, but all they did for awhile was exchange letters while Wade was in college. Then they lost contact.

So after Laurie was already graduated from Lamar University, she found the letters that Wade had sent her. She was already engaged to some other guy at the time, but she wrote to Wade because she was in the process of moving to Houston. Then Wade says he started showing her around the city, and they gradually were getting together every day and night. Wade Phillips’ wife then called her fiance and broke it off. She said she just enjoyed spending time with Wade more than him. Two months later, they got hitched. That’s pretty intense love story material. I guess that’s food for all the people that say “if it was meant to be, it will be.” I’ve always hated that expression. It belies a kind of naive passivity, in my opinion.

Laurie has shared that Wade started a tradition of a Friday night date starting in 1980. Wade Phillips’ wife also talked him into learning country and western dancing at a class. He got some medal for being most improved, which means he sucked when he started out. Hey, we can’t all be….good country dancers. It was mentioned in a long bio that Wade will go to chick flicks with his wife and will then gripe that he’s the only guy there. I don’t often go to chick flicks (particularly since they’re a dying breed given the shift in Hollywood production preferences), but when I do, I always look around for Wade Phillips and his wife.
